Tokyo- In continuation of efforts to promote Pakistani mangoes a promotion show, “Taste of Pakistani Mango,” was held at a local restaurant in Tokyo. The Ambassador of Pakistan in Japan and the Ambassador-designate of Japan to Pakistan inaugurated the event alongwith representatives of leading Japanese import companies.
This was followed by display and tasting of the mango as well as several dishes and delicacies prepared from the fruit. Marking a fusion between the two cultures, Mango Sushi was also served.
Japanese importers and distributors of fresh fruits and vegetables, buyers from chain stores, prominent Japanese businessmen, Japanese government officials, members of Pakistani community and media attended the event.
This was the third event to introduce the mango to the Japanese market and consumers. Previous events were organized in Osaka and Tokyo earlier in the month.
