Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) called on Mr. Masami Iijima, President & Chief Executive Officer of Mitsui & Co. Ltd. The company has had a long standing association with Pakistan extending over 50 years.
President of Mitsui appreciated the smooth democratic transition in Pakistan and welcomed the current government’s business friendly initiatives. He observed that Pakistan was a very promising country with tremendous business opportunities and a large market.
The Ambassador invited Mr. Iijima to invest in energy sector in Pakistan. President of Mitsui agreed with the Ambassador of the need to cooperate in developing training and internship programmes for human resource development in Pakistan as Mitsui was already providing to other countries.
The President of Mitsui also expressed an interest to visit Pakistan.
