Visit of Pakistan Navy Ships PNS NASR and PNS SHAMSHEER to Yokosuka Port, Japan.

(Tokyo, November 6, 2022): Pakistan Navy Ships PNS Nasr and PNS Shamsheer arrived at Yokosuka Port, Japan on 1st November 2022 to pay port call and participate in the International Fleet Review (IFR). The ships were received by the Embassy officers and officials at the Yokosuka Port.

The Charge d’ Affaires (a.i.) hosted a lunch in honour of Commodore Faisal Javeed Sheikh SI(M) S.Bt, Mission Commander and officers of PNS Nasr and PNS Shamsheer on 2nd November 2022 at the Chancery.

The Pakistan Navy Band performed in the Yokosuka band parade during the day of 3rd November 2022. Later in the evening, the Embassy alongwith officers of the ship co-hosted a reception onboard PNS Nasr in which a large number of Japanese dignitaries, members of diplomatic corps and Defence Attaches participated.

On 4th November 2022, the Pakistan Navy Band performed in a concert at Yokosuka Art Theatre in which Embassy officers and officials participated.

The Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Nasr and PNS Shamsheer departed Yokosuka Port on 5th November 2022. They were sent off by the officers and officials of the Embassy. The visit of Pakistan's Naval Ships will go a long way in further enhancing bilateral defence ties between the two countries.
