    Tokyo (February 15, 2013) – The Pakistan Ambassador to Japan Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) presented his credentials to His Majesty the Emperor of Japan at a ceremony held at the Imperial Palace on 15th February 2013.

    During the ceremony, the Ambassador Amil conveyed to the Emperor greetings and best wishes from the President Asif Ali Zardari for the Emperor’s good health, happiness and well-being. He also expressed the desire of the Government of Pakistan to further strengthen the cordial relations that exist between the two countries. 

    His Majesty Emperor Akihito expressed his gratitude to the President Zardari for his kind sentiments and expressed the hope that the relations between Japan and Pakistan would be further strengthened in future.

    Also present at the ceremony were the Minister for Justice Sadakazu Tanigaki and Senior officials of the Pakistan Embassy including Deputy Chief of Mission Syed Ali Asad Gillani, Defence Attaché Air Commodore Haroon ur Rashid Abbasi, Minister Economic Dr. Talat Imtiaz, Press Counsellor Dr. Rafique Ahmed Soomro and Second Secretary Nadeem Ahmed Bhatti.
