Tokyo: Ambassador Farukh Amil gave a lecture at Seijo University, regarded as a top liberal arts University in Tokyo. The Ambassador in a meeting with President Professor Yuji Yui highlighted the desirability of students and Faculty exchanges between Pakistani and Japanese Universities. President, Seijo University welcomed the idea and said that efforts should be made to achieve this goal.
Prior to the lecture the Ambassador met with senior Professors of the Faculty and the high achieving students, both Japanese and foreign, to discuss Pakistan-Japan relations over tea. The discussion moved to the main Auditorium. The main presentation was followed by a lively Question-Answer session in which the students and Faculty raised questions on strategic issues, economic and trade matters and social issues such as women’s empowerment and education. This was the first visit to Seiji University by an Ambassador of Pakistan.
