Tokyo: The Ambassador visited Gakushuin University to deliver a lecture. Prior to the lecture met with the President, Professor Norihiko Fukui and Senior Faculty members. Gakushuin University was the 21st University in the last nine months visited by the Ambassador. Gakushuin University is the choice of the Imperial Family. It also hosted former Prime Minister of Pakistan in 1996.
The Ambassador reiterated that Pakistani and Japanese Universities should establish formal mechanisms and links to develop mutual understanding. This should ideally include the Faculty and Student exchanges and joint research projects amongst other academic ventures. The presentation was followed by a lively Question and Answer session covering a vast array of subjects.
