Osaka: Ambassador Farukh Amil was invited as keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony of Japanese Language Programme of The Japan Foundation Language Institute, Kansai. In his address he congratulated the participants of the course and appreciated the role of the Japan Foundation for providing this opportunity to different nations of the world. He said that understanding each other through respective languages was critical in strengthening communication between nations. He hoped that the participants would become a bridge between Japan and their respective countries.
In the evening a dinner was hosted for the academia of Osaka University who had visited Pakistan to attend a conference at LUMS. While talking with them the Ambassador highlighted the importance of 'innovation-academia-industry'. He said Pakistan wanted to learn from the experience of Japan to establish such linkages for greater economic prosperity. Representatives from the academia shared their positive experiences of visiting Pakistan, greatly appreciating the hospitality of the people.
