Launch of Bi-lingual portal “FiTE” to match Pakistani IT graduates with jobs in Japan.

(Tokyo, September 29, 2022): Pakistan Embassy in Japan has been actively working on enhancing integration between IT industries of Pakistan and Japan with an objective to extend the best possible support to meet the increasing demand of IT engineers in Japan. Various actions taken in this regard include facilitating sector study by JICA on Pakistani IT industry; holding webinars for Pakistani IT universities; representing Pakistan at Japan’s largest IT exhibition – Japan IT Week, promoting “Tech Destination Pakistan” brand; hosting Smart Cities Roundtable to engage Japanese city governments, academia and industry to offer Pakistan as an important support source; publicizing Pakistani IT Sector’s strengths in a Japanese IT HR magazines; and, supporting development of a bilingual portal “FiTE” by Japanese private sector to match Pakistani IT Engineers with jobs in Japanese IT industry while promoting freelancers.

A bilingual portal FiTE was launched at Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) Headquarters in Islamabad jointly with a Japanese company Profound Vision. The Government of Pakistan remained engaged with all major stakeholders on both sides to tap the opportunity of exporting service and skilled manpower through this new platform. The salient features of FiTE system primarily cover matching Pakistani IT engineers to the detailed job specifications required in Japanese market while focusing on academic levels, personality assessment and IT skills using Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. This portal has been developed using Pakistani technology and expertise. Many Pakistani universities have already signed MOUs to plug their databases with this new platform.
