Director, Intl’ Affairs Division & Liaison Officer from Organization for Technical Intern Training (OTIT) called on Ambassador

Mr. Takebe Norikazu, Director, International Affairs Division and Ms. Tanaka Masako, Liaison Officer from Organization for Technical Intern Training (OTIT) called on Ambassador Imtiaz Ahmad to discuss the progress in TITP program. Mr. Takebe appreciated the efforts made by the Embassy in connecting Japanese companies with Pakistani Sending Organizations and the positive impact of Ambassador's recent visit to Tohoku region to meet the Supervising Organizations recommended by OTIT.

He apprised that Japan has been unable to accept any trainee since January 2021 due to entry ban imposed by the Japanese Government, however, once situation normalizes, Japan expects influx of trainees from all across the globe.

The Ambassador briefed the delegation about the recent steps taken by one of the Sending Organizations, NUTECH, in finalizing the agreements with the Japanese companies and arrangements being made for the Japanese language course for the trainees. He stressed that it is important to have the first batch of Pakistani trainees ready once the restrictions are lifted.

Mr. Takebe thanked the Ambassador for the continuous coordination and support extended to OTIT whenever required and expressed OTIT's keen desire to work with the Government of Pakistan in facilitation export of manpower to Japan.
